Do what you love

I have always enjoyed art and painting. I took all the courses I could get my hands on in high school and college, painted for fun and even did commissions for friends and family, but I never thought it could be a business or something I could be financially successful at doing.

Maybe it’s the fact that I’m about to turn 30, but I have a new outlook. Why not give it a shot? So January 1st, 2017 I started my own business. A real deal keeping my own books, new bank account, boss lady kind of business.

Rewind to day one, I thought, be patient it might take a while to get this off the ground, focus on the big picture. Now today, as I sit and write this post, I have long list of commissions, my work is now in a retail space and I have an overwhelming amount of support.

You all have been so fantastic, and have allowed me to dream bigger and think beyond my original hopes for this business. I’m now a true believer that it’s never too late to do what you love.
